Why do we collect personal data?

In order to provide the User with the best possible experience with our services, relevant personal data is collected. The Xplora service, which consists of the Xplora mobile application (“Xplora watch”) and a SIM card, is a communication service that allows you to communicate with your child. This technology only works if we can collect and process certain personal data about you and your child.

The Xplora service will therefore collect, process and transfer personal data, including location data, to Xplora Technologies Denmark ApS (also referred to as “Xplora Technologies Denmark” or “we”).

Our collection and use of data is carried out in accordance with strict privacy and security guidelines. In developing the Xplora service, special consideration is given to user privacy and we do not collect more personal data than is necessary for the Xplora service to function.

Xplora Technologies Denmark takes your privacy seriously. We comply with current legislation for the processing of personal data and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our privacy policy is also designed in accordance with Danish law.

We use Maksimer AS to develop our platform for registering customers and orders, and they therefore have access to personal information on the platform. When registering and following up on inquiries to our customer service, we use Zendesk inc., which is a provider of a cloud-based “ticketing” system. Invoicing and debt collection are carried out by Collectia on our behalf.

In addition, we use Xplora Technologies AS as a data processor to provide the Xplora app so that the app and the watch can communicate with each other. With our permission, they have engaged Infomark Co Ltd, 360 Kids Guard Co., Ltd, ATENDER AS and Amazon Web services as their data processors. Here, data is stored either in Norway, all on Amazon Web Service servers in Dublin (Ireland) and Frankfurt am Main (Germany).
